The Art of Words Community School (TAWCS): Beyond The Diploma

Our Curriculum

The Art of Words Community School (TAWCS) is a Waldorf-inspired school that integrates art and literature throughout its curriculum content. Art and literature are its teaching tool, while Progressive, Social Justice, and Community-Based learning are core in its content (currently enrolling K-5th grade)

Our Community

TAWCS believes in the power of the global community and that for us to learn how to be citizens, students must act as citizens. Therefore, education must connect subject matter with the places where students live and the issues that affect us. It is intended through both our teaching methods and selection of quality content that we aim to prepare competent and responsible citizens with the academic skills necessary to make qualitative changes to our community and its environment.

Our Commitment

We strive to develop the promise of these students while preparing them for a globally competitive marketplace. Please consider joining TAWCS as our founding families and allowing your children to graduate with a rigorous, value-added high school education that will be their vehicle to their future. We’ll meet your children where they are, coordinate ways to develop their sense of responsibility, and ultimately choose the path they seek to select after becoming our founding TAWCS alumni.
